Unicorns Off My Lawn is a single-screen garden game in which you are a leprechaun with three flower beds full of rainbow blooms, and you can play Unicorns Off My Lawn unblocked with nothing more than taps or clicks. Your problem is a herd of large, friendly and very clumsy unicorns that keep strolling in. They don’t mean any harm, but whatever they trample stays ruined until the next season. Your plan is to pick the flowers before they do and nudge the herd somewhere else. The game was an entry in the 2026 js13kGames contest.
How to Play Unicorns Off My Lawn
Tap a spot on the grass and the leprechaun runs over. He has to walk there instead of popping into place, so choosing his route is half the game.
Every flower passes through three stages: a sprout, a bud, then a shining bloom. You can only pick it at the last stage. Either tap a bloom that is close to the leprechaun or march him straight across it, and you collect coins plus points toward the rainbow.
Coins and Color Streaks
Your coin count sits in the top left corner, and you begin each game with 50. Every flower you pick pays 5 coins, multiplied by your color streak. Pick two blooms of the same color in a row and the second pays 10 coins and 2 rainbow points. A third in a row pays 15 coins and 3 points. The streak tops out there, and picking a different color starts it over at 1.
That means a good streak does double duty. It fills the rainbow bar faster, and it pays for the tools you need to protect the beds.
Reading the Herd
Unicorns wander in from the sides. If one freezes and a thought bubble appears over its head, it has spotted a flower and is about to go for it. After it sets off, it may plow through the entire bed.
Getting close to a unicorn gently shoves it aside, so simply standing in the way is your cheapest defense. Starting with the second season, some unicorns are jumpy. They run faster and make up their minds sooner, and you see more of them every season.
Your Four Tools
Spend coins on tools from the bar along the bottom. Each one takes effect at the leprechaun’s position, and each button shows its price:
- Noise (20 coins) blasts out a ring that frightens unicorns away.
- Repel (30 coins) grows clover that the herd avoids for 12 seconds.
- Attract (40 coins) sets down a gem that lures unicorns over for 10 seconds.
- Water (15 coins) speeds up the growth of flowers around him for the season.
A button fades out when it can’t be used right now, so deciding what to buy and when is part of the strategy.
Winning and Losing
A season contains 21 flowers. The rainbow bar needs 120 points, and an ordinary pick is worth just 1. When unicorns wreck 15 flowers inside one season, you lose. Gloomy clouds cover the sky when that is about to happen. Either way, the closing message tells you how many unicorns visited your garden during the game.
Garden Tips
- Watch for thought bubbles. Get between that unicorn and its chosen flower before it moves.
- String colors together. Map out a path through same-colored blooms to triple your points.
- Pick ripe flowers right away. An open bloom is the very thing the herd is hunting.
- Stand in the busiest bed. Your body pushes unicorns away for free.
- Bait with Attract. A gem far from the beds can pull a whole group out at once.
- Water early in a season. Its boost lasts until the season ends, so it pays back more the sooner you use it.
Mistakes New Players Make
The first is spending all 50 starting coins in the opening seconds. Tools work best when a unicorn is actually heading for a bed, so keep enough for one Noise. The second is chasing every bloom on the screen and breaking your color streak, which cuts your coin income in half or worse. The third is using Attract right next to a flower bed, since the gem draws the herd straight through your flowers on the way.
Learning the Ropes
A ten-step practice garden teaches walking, picking, spending coins and each tool, and the title card lets you play it again any time. MUSIC at the top turns the soundtrack on or off, and RESET takes you back to the title. A full game takes several seasons, so set aside more than a few minutes if you want to see the rainbow.
